2022 Spring Midwest Workout Showcase (April 16)
Jack Tierney is a 2023 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Iowa City, IA who attends Regina Catholic. Nice athletic build with long limbs and good present strength with room for more.. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Worked out both in the infield and outfield and has next level athletic ability at both positions. Actions were fluid and confident in the outfield, fielded the ball cleanly off his front foot and made accurate throws, good arm strength and carry with polished footwork. Has soft hands and a quick transfer in the infield, good range especially to his left, showed body control. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide stance with a high hand set load, upper body rotational swing, stays pretty short to the ball with good extension out front, showed some bat speed, can continue to improve at the plate with adjustments. Excellent student. Named to the Spring Midwest Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
