Quinn Lavelle is a 2017 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Shaker Heights, OH who attends St. Edward HS. Slender athletic build, lots of room to fill out, very young for a sophomore. Standard leg raise delivery, accelerates to the plate and will pull his front side off line occasionally, extended 3/4's arm slot. Upper 70's fastball, mostly straight with occasional arm side running action, topped out at 79 mph. Slurve type breaking ball, has good depth at times, tends to slow arm at release on curveball. Flashed a change up with developing feel. Good arm strength for his age with a projectable build. Left handed hitter, smooth swing with a short direct path to the ball, mid to opposite field contact, good base swing mechanics to keep improving with additional strength. Good student.
