2015 Caribbean Top Prospect Showcase
Kiani Marquez is a 2016 RHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Cidra, PR who attends Colegio Espíritu Santo. Medium athletic build, has some strength in his hips and lower half, slopped shoulders. High hand delivery with a medium leg raise, high 3/4's arm slot, some upper body lean to let his arm through, full loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, maintained his velocity well, throws his fastball for strikes and challenged hitters, fastball mostly straight with occasional cutting action. Curveball was very good at times with big velocity and good biting depth but rarely used it, would strongly benefit from throwing it more often. Did not observe a change up. Good student.
