Cooper Philbrick is a 2023 C/RHP, OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Liberty North. Large, athletic frame with square shoulder and long limbs, some present strength with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.17 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, pops out early from crouch in drills, receives the ball out front, longer transfer but gains short ground and replaces feet, shows present arm strength with carry on throws down to second base. Also pitched, side step at start of delivery with a knee to belt raise, low effort throughout with medium length to arm stroke through back working to a three-quarters release. Lands on line and creates some extension out front, fastball topped out at 80 mph and worked to both side of the plate; deliberate tempo to delivery, mixed a curveball with 11-5 shape and present depth up to 68 mph. Left-handed hitter, begins with a tall stance in the box and a high hand set up with a wide base. Uses length well to create natural loft in swing, can unlock additional strength with more lower half incorporated into mechanics but shows a nice feel for the barrel. Gets mistimed on occasion, nice present bat speed through the zone and shows quickness in hands, line drive contact when squared up. Very good student. Named to the Midwest Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
