Alan Lopez is a 2023 SS/2B with a 5-5 135 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Tomball. Small and young frame with plenty more room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.08 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield with quickness to his footwork moving to the baseball, clean hands that field the baseball out in front, comfortable fielding the baseball to either side laterally, showed the ability to get his feet into a good posting to throw, topped out at 79 mph across the diamond and projects well as he continues to mature physically. Right-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with a balanced stance, shifts into contact with a small stride, swings with intent and meets the baseball out in front, stays inline well with a direct swing path and good hand-eye, similar to in the infield he projects well at the plate with strength, contact approach primarily to the pull side. Good student.
