Tim Beckham is a 2008 SS with a 6'2'', 191 lb. frame from Kennesaw, GA who attends Griffin HS. He has a strong, athletic build with excellent body life. Beckham is a true 5-tool player and he showed all those tools in Cincinnati and firmly established himself as one of the top position prospects in the 2008 class. He's a plus/plus runner at 6.33 in the 60 and has very fast twitch actions in all areas. Defensively, Beckham has fluid actions and soft hands and can make plays on the run and throws from different arm angles with ease. He'll get a little flashy at times and be careless, especially on throws, but all the tools are there. Offensively, it's all about Beckham's hands. He has electric wrists with explosive quickness with the bat. Beckham has a tall and calm set up and has a pretty simple "see it and hit it" mentality at the plate. The ball explodes off his bat and he has big pull power. He's going to hit a ton of doubles and triples now with his speed and ability to drive the ball and the home runs will come. Beckham is an elite level athlete who just happens to have high level baseball skills and a love for the game. He should be a very high pick in the 2008 draft. Selected to 2007 Aflac All-American team.
