Daniel Blaustein is a 2008 2B/SS with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Holy Innocents' Episcopal School. He has an athletic build and showed good muscle tone. In the infield he showed off good arm strength with an overhand release. He moved around well in the infield and showed good baseball instincts as he was aware of what was going on at all time in the infield. In the batters box he hit from a crouched, closed stance and showed a short line drive swing. He made consistent contact and used the whole field. He also had good balance at the plate and a calm approach. He had some nice hits in the game and showed ability to make some solid contact in the games. Daniel excels in the classroom and it carries over to his field as he is a smart baseball player. Solid 2008 infield prospect.
