Chris Pena is a 2016 MIF/ with a 5-11 182 lb. frame from Alamogordo, NM who attends Alamogordo. Pena has a medium sized frame with some strength. Defensively he has developing actions on the infield with developing foot quickness to the baseball. Pena has developing arm strength with velocity up to 72 MPH. At the plate, Pena starts with a square stance and uses a big stride to start his swing. He made solid contact to the pull side in BP and has some bat speed. Pena hit the ball hard in games a couple times with a line drive up the middle and a single to the opposite field. He showed some barrel skill and some hitting tools. Good student.
