Turner Gauntt is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Episcopal HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Good actions behind the plate defensively, plays with energy, good footwork gaining ground on his throws, has some developing arm strength with more to come, accurate throws, 2.09 best pop time, 2.18 between innings. Right handed hitter, sound hitting mechanics, stays short to the ball and works the middle of the field, shifts into contact and is aggressive, should continue to improve his hitting as he gets stronger.
