Taner Taylor is a 2017 OF with a 5-6 185 lb. frame from Lineville, AL who attends Lineville. Medium frame with strong, sturdy present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.88 seconds. Sets up to hit with open stance and slight crouch, deep hand load to launch point, good strength in lower half and it shows in swing. Patient approach, looks for pitch he can drive. Uses the whole field when hitting, line drive swing plane with jump off the barrel when squared, approach is back through the middle with ability to control the barrel and hit to all fields when necessary. Worked out defensively in the outfield. Aggressive move to the ball when fielding with short, quick steps; fields cleanly out front and works through it some, transfers quickly and gets off very quick release. Showed accuracy to target with arm strength clocked up to 73 MPH. Good student.
