Andrew Flaherty is a 2016 1B/OF with a 6-2 178 lb. frame from Conifer, CO who attends IMG Academy. Large, lean frame with good projection remaining on body. Hits from both sides, shows more fluidity from left side. Line drive plane with wide base and toe tap from both sides, stays back well and takes an inside-out approach. Spray hitter that goes with the pitch and hits line drives to all fields. Fields well in OF, also shows projectable arm strength with throws up to 82 MPH. Full arm action at 1B, fields out in front, projects well defensively there. Pitched as well, showing short arm action and simple delivery from the right side. Short strider with front foot landing pronated, rotational delivery, primarily a fastball pitcher up to 77 MPH. Throws strikes, can work to both sides, shows feel for CB with some 11/5 shape and depth. Very good student.
