Tony Jenkins is a 2017 OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Melbourne, FL who attends Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy. Long and slender athletic build, projects well physically, lots of room to get stronger. 6..65 runner, very athletic in the outfield, really moves to the ball well and has outstanding footwork and balance at the ball, short and compact arm action, raw arm strength still developing. Right handed hitter, high leg lift load, gets to his front side early, very limited lower half use to help generate bat speed, short inside swing path, contact approach, hits the ball out front and looks to use his speed. Very nice athlete with centerfield tools defensively who will need to continue to develop on offense. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
