Ramid Alvarez is a 2017 1B/3B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Hialeah Senior HS. Big strong athletic build, very strong for his age. Right handed hitter, starts with his bat on his shoulder, big hand hitch load, long hard swing, has the strength and bat speed to drive the ball, aggressive swing approach, has the tools to develop as a power hitter but must adjust pre-swing mechanics to be able to handle more advanced pitching. Shows good defensive actions at first base, strong arm with accurate throws. Good student.
