Calder (Coco) Clay is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Lansing, NC who attends Woodberry Forest School. Tall and lean build, plenty of room and time to get stronger. Tall and balanced on line delivery, compact arm action, tends to cut off his arm and pull off his upper body out front. Steady upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, mostly straight. Change up is a nice pitch with good arm speed and some fading action. Sweeping curveball with some depth, has good feel and quality to his secondary pitches for his age. Should continue to improve as he gets stronger. Very good student.
