Tommy Drury is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend HS. Slender young build, has plenty of physical projection. Drop and drive mechanics with good lower half drive, still gets some downhill plane from a high 3/4's to over the top release point, drives downhill and stays down in the zone well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, mostly straight but with some heaviness down in the zone. Mid 70's curveball shows some 11/5 depth but still developing power to get real bite. Has good arm quickness and should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.22 runner, showed good arm strength and carry in the outfield, arm really works well out there. Right handed hitter, inverted front foot load, spread stance, hits closed, mostly opposite field, hips don't get cleared to generate lower half strength. Good student.
