Carter Mize is a 2017 OF/1B/LHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Dardenne Prairie, MO who attends Fort Zumwalt West HS. Slender young build, especially in the upper half, minimal present strength. Left handed hitter, crouched stance, high back elbow with a deep load in back, hits from his back side, loose rotational swing with some extension in front, line drive contact to all fields. Sound fundamentals in the outfield, repeats his footwork well, developing arm strength, looked comfortable at first base as well. Gaining additional strength will be key to his development. Good student.
