Devan Stewart is a 2017 SS/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Florissant, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Nice athletic build for a sophomore, really projects physically. 5.07 runner in the forty, has athletic quickness on defense, charges the ball well and stays balanced, soft hands and a clean exchange, long loose arm action with good present arm strength, has the tools to stay in the middle of the field as he develops. Right handed hitter, square stance with some crouch, aggressive hitter who swings hard and generates bat speed, showed gap power both in BP and in games, ball comes off the barrel hard, had no problems handling some of the better pitchers at the event. Also pitched, loose and fast arm, high 3/4's arm slot, tends to come over and around fastball on release creating hard cutting action but limiting command, showed some feel and spin on his curveball. Very good natural athlete with high ceiling physically. Good student.
