Adrian Montes is a 2017 1B/3B with a 5-8 200 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Sierra HS. Thick build with good present strength. Rotational swing with good lower half use and shift into contact, hips will fly open early on occasion, takes a healthy hack and looks to drive the ball hard, ball comes off the barrel well when squared, hits to all fields well. Showed soft hands at first base defensively and a solid ability to pick throws, will have to improve his overall quickness and speed. Good student.
