Luke Orfi is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends East Cobb Baseball Academy. Large frame with an athletic build showing strength throughout. Ran a 6.51 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step working into the baseball with athleticism. Plays low to the ground as he scoops it up before working into a quick transfer. Short arm stroke and proved to have carry on throws up to 90 mph. Secondary Outfielder, similar actions as the infield with a good first step. Gathers to side and released from a three-quarter slot. Arm talent present up to 94 mph with throws. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, lower half movement consistent during pre-pitch. Only worked from stretch. Belt high lift and then strides down the hill. Athletic in the delivery utilizing the lower half well. Quick arm stroke with a full effort. Fastball showing heavy arm side run up to 83 mph with spin rates up to 2,069 rpm. Also mixed in a slider in the mid-70's with spin rates up to 2,167 rpm. Right-Handed Hitter, sitting deep into the legs with the hands away from the body. Creates separation on the stride before working into cut. Natural loft to the swing as he sprays it around the field with easy. Pull-side power also present when he times it up properly.
