Matthew Kushwaha is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. John's. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout. Primary outfielder with clean, fluid actions while closing to and working through the baseball. Maintains momentum toward target with sound glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Displayed good arm strength producing stiff, accurate carry to the bag topping at 86 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Direct path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed the ability to create lift when throwing barrel head and working to contact out front. Displayed good strength at contact with solid jump off the barrel when on time and squared. Excellent student.
