Ajinkya Gundaria is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Alpharetta. Medium frame and build with beginnings of strength. Primary right handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Quick leg lift delivery and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands in line on front side and carries momentum well. Loose arm action at take back and released from a mid three-quarters slot. Primarily looked to locate fastball to the bottom quadrants of the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 mph. Curveball had 11/5 shape with solid spin and good depth in the low 70's. Also flashed a slight offering that featured more sweep to glove side in the mid 70's. Consistently looked to attack hitters and work ahead in counts. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing clean footwork while rounding and surrounding the baseball. Comes through the baseball well and maintained momentum towards target. Created accurate, on line carry while throwing across the infield topping at 82 mph. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looked to throw barrel to contact and consistently worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Excellent student as well.
