Layton Cummings is a 2018 MIF/3B with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Pittsford, NY who attends Pittsford Sutherland High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out and develop physically. Posted a 7.15 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary middle infielder, utilized a lower slot, good actions to backhand, clean transfer skills, and a quick release of the ball. Developing arm strength up to 76 mph. At the plate, started with a wider base, low hand set, deeper hand load, and slight hitch. Hands showing ability to get through the zone, quickness to hands, works up to the ball, with a very aggressive approach. Looks to pull the ball in the air. Will continue to improve with additional strength.
