Cole Frye is a 2022 RHP/IF with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Egg Harbor Twp, NJ who attends St. Augustine Preparatory School. Recorded a 7.53 second 60-yard dash time. Lanky frame with lots of room to fill out and project physically. Primary righthanded pitcher with a simple rock step into a high leg lift delivery. Stays tall on the backside at the gather point with drop and drive actions. Hides the baseball well with a compact arm circle and releases from a three-quarters arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph and comes out of the hand cleanly. Consistently worked ahead of the hitter and downhill. Curveball had proper shape with solid spin and good depth. Arm strength played well from secondary position of first base. Lefthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Deeper hand load with a flat swing and the barrel stays in the zone for a long time. Good student.
