Brandon Reese is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 5-9 136 lb. frame from Conroe, TX who attends Conroe HS. Compact frame, lean and wiry build with room to fill out. Primary left handed pitcher, compact delivery with high leg lift, repeats it well. Slightly crossfire release, rotates hips well and has solid direction and line to plate. Works to a low, extended 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well and creates some deception. Fastball up to 76 mph, offering shows some lateral movement with either cut or run to either side of the plate. Throws pitch for strikes, could challenge inside part of the plate more often. Also flashes curveball with sweeping action, has quality depth and shows ability to spin the ball. Also worked out in the outfield, short and quick feet, fields the ball out in front and works through the ball. Up to 73 mph in defensive drills. Left handed hitter, leg lift trigger from open stance setup. Flat, level bat path with contact-oriented swing, shows solid balance, could use more lower half and should improve with additional strength. Good student.
