Zachary Ashen is a 2020 C/2B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Berkeley Carroll. Medium frame with young, slender present build. Ran 60 yard dash in 9.52 seconds. Sets up to hit from even stance with smaller toe tap trigger, gets barrel moving on line drive plane, shows some feel for contact with middle-field approach. Showcased ability to work to all fields at times; will drive the ball more as he gains strength. Worked out behind the plate; stands up into reception, shows efficiency to footwork, very low transfer with elongated arm stroke and subsequent release, tries to be quick, arm strength up to 68 mph and pop time as low as 2.28 seconds. Very good student.
