Evan Wood is a 2023 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 192 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends St. Francis. A primary left-handed pitcher with a large build showing some physicality throughout the frame. Starts with a side step into a leg lift above the belt with arm working quickly out of the glove up to a high three-quarters arm slot. Ran the fastball up to 82 mph coign out of the hand clean with some deception in the lower half as eh comes down the mound. Showed advanced feel for the slider landing it under the hands of right-handed hitters with effectiveness. Changeup showed as the third pitch at present with fading action that will play off of the life of the fastball in the low 70's. The three pitch mix shows solid movement with the ability to find the zone with all three and keep hitters off balance. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
