Sherman Johnson II is a 2023 SS/2B, 3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Loganville, GA who attends Loganville. Large frame with an athletic build. Ran a 6.96 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, quick first step as he proved to have lateral range. Smooth with the glove as he picked it before working into a quick transfer and release. Accurate across the diamond as he threw it 83 mph during drills. Feel for the position showing and projects here going forward. Right-Handed Hitter, starting upright with weight on the backside. Strides out and lands in a balanced position. Creates separation before working into a linear cut. Proved he could leverage the baseball and drive it deep into the gaps. Power in the swing and projects even more as the frame fills out. Barrel control present and shows a mature approach. Great Student. Named to Southeast Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
