Jake Milmoe is a 2021 C/3B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Verona, NJ who attends Verona. Large, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 5.49 40-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate and comes out well, can implement additional footwork in gaining ground, receives the ball out front and shows a clean transfer, shows accuracy down to second base and works on top of throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; simple trigger and gets closed moving into contact. Lowers hands at start of swing, looks to pull the ball at the point of contact and stays short through the zone. Best when working on a linear swing, occasionally gets around the ball.
