Jason Roberts is a 2020 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Pensacola, FL who attends West Florida HS. Medium build with some present physicality on the frame. Ran a 7.81 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with short arm action with some arm strength and athletic actions; recorded a 2.02 pop time. Throws were online and showed the ability to gain ground with his lower half on throws. Threw on the mound with a higher three-quarter slot and full arm action. Higher leg lift above the waist and landed online. The fastball sat from 74-78 mph and had occasional cut on it. Mixed in a breaking ball that came in the mid to high-60s with 12/6 shape and some depth as well. Showed projectable tools at the plate with a longer swing pane and high hand set. The swing was loose and generated good extension; best to the pull side where he showed off his raw power. Good student.
