Ethan Chuck is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. He ran a 7.55 second sixty. A primary tight-handed pitcher with a larger build. On the mound he sat 79-83 mph with his fastball using a side step from the wind up into a leg lift above the belt as he does a nice job staying under control through the delivery with a full arm action in the back up to a high three-quarters arm slot. He attacked hitters early with the fastball getting the fastball to both halves and showed a mid 70's slider with solid spin traits as a quality secondary offering. In the outfield he received the ball off to the side getting rid of the ball quickly with some whip in the arm action from a lower release point. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wider base creating some separation with a short stride, the bat path works direct to the ball with a good punch at the point of contact recording a 95 mph exit velocity. Very good student. Named to the 2021 Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
