Chase Engelhard is a 2020 SS/MIF, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Riverwood. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders an a leaner, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary middle infielder, takes longer strides moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front, shows quick footwork with twitchiness to actions, quick transfer with a deliberate pace through release, attacks the ball well. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Shows quickness to hands and does a nice job of creating loft out front with looseness to overall swing. Repeats swing with simple mechanics, occasionally stays too inside the ball, best carry off the barrel when working to pull side, shows tools that project moving forward.
