Alec Klemens is a 2018 C/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Arcadia HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame with some room to still fill out. Ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, starts with a low set up behind the plate, receives the ball out front, gets tall at release, full arm action and gets on top of throws well creating consistent accuracy to second base, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide and slightly open base, high hands and back elbow set. Balanced set up, upper body swing, uses a leg lift trigger for timing. Full swing through the zone, gets arms extended and is able to hit the ball out front. Gets the barrel through the zone and looks to lift at contact. Very good student.
