JD Bogart is a 2021 C with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Sandy Springs, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Large frame with a physical build proving to fit a catchers profile. Ran a 7.32 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting athletically in his stance and proved to have soft hands. Did a nice job of blocking up baseballs and was sound defensively. Arm strength showing as he recorded a 1.95 second pop time during drills and was accurate with downhill throws. Right-Handed Hitter, starting open with the front side while balanced. Higher leg lift as the hands get deep before he works into a linear swing path. Middle of the field approach as he sprays it gap to gap. Found barrels consistently. Outstanding Student.
