Michael Jesse is a 2019 RHP/3B, 1B with a 5-11 183 lb. frame from Chatham, NJ who attends Seton Hall Preparatory. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and strength to frame well-proportioned throughout body. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a short rock step and a high leg kick up past belt while staying tall on backside, utilizes lower half well to drive to plate, occasionally opens front side early. Compact arm circle through the back with a tight, three-quarters release, gets on top and generates some downhill plane to fastball that topped at 76 mph with occasional short running life. Nice feel for curveball, 11-5 shape with late depth and nice arm speed. Mixes well to keep hitters off balance. Takes short steps ranging up the middle in field, takes an extra step at release, accurate throws across diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow to begin. Open stance at start and gets closed well, line drive swing plane with an inside path. Short to the ball, comes off the barrel well when squared, uses strength to generate bat speed through the zone. Excellent student.
