Ricky Del Rio is a 2019 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Lake Worth, FL who attends Lake Worth Christian High School. Younger player with a lean, slender build, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Right handed pitcher, created separation, utilized a longer arm action, raw arm speed, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Swings hips down the mound with developing extension through the ball. Repeated delivery well with a clean release and filled the zone. Fastball worked 77-79 mph effectively. Also showed a curveball with depth and 11/5 shape with short bite. Should replicate arm speed for curveball to increase effectiveness. Incorporation of lower half as well as physical growth will lead to improvements. Good student.
