Jesse Bolt is a 2018 3B/1B/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Joshua, TX who attends Joshua HS. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Projects for additional size and strength with continued physical maturity. Ran a 7.75 sixty yard dash. Primary third baseman, squares the baseball well while surrounding and flashed smooth glove actions while funneling out front. Clean glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Flashes some range to each side with extended stride lengths. Released from multiple arm angles that produced accurate throws across the infield topping at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, open stance. Loose, extended swing path through the zone with a high finish. Lower half works to contact with rotational actions generating occasional shift. Primarily showed a mid-field approach, but flashed the barrel control to the work the baseball to all fields as well. Also pitched worked exclusively from the stretch. Stays balanced at gather well with a medium leg lift. Drives off back leg to the plate with slight drop and drive actions. Front side lands in line with the plate and carries momentum to finish. Compact arm circle back at separation and releases from a quick high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball produced good arm side run with occasional downward angle between 76-80 miles per hour. Curveball showed proper shape with some rotation and depth when located down in the zone. Consistently pounded the strike zone with both pitches and showed the ability to pitch backwards at times. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
