Saenz is a 5-9 third baseman from Illinois with a medium athletic build and good lower body strength. He shows some quickness on defense and has good hands on ground balls and could probably move over to second base as well as play third. Saenz has some strength in his hands and generates some bat speed. He is an aggressive pull hitter and has some back side collapse that puts some loft into his swing. This is a power type approach , but Saenz consistently hit the ball hard at the showcase and the results spoke.
