Charlie Corum is a 2019 C/3B with a 5-9 205 lb. frame from Versailles, KY who attends Woodford County. Medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary catcher with a low, athletic stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground while working out of crouched with clean, sound footwork. Worked through exchange well with a compact glove circle. Released from a three-quarters arm slot generating accurate carry to the bag at 74 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.08. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Aggressively shifts into contact with lower half. Direct hand path path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Barrel enters and exits the zone quickly. Primarily utilized a mid field to pull side approach flashed good jump off the barrel with carry to the gap when squared. Very good student as well.
