Brayton Thomas is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Fort Wayne, IN who attends Bishop Dwenger. Big and physical build, pretty mature look overall. Has a compact arm action that hides the ball well, quick and short arm stroke from a mid 3/4's slot, high leg raise with some forward upper body lean through release that creates a cross fire look, pretty athletic mechanics. Fastball was up to 92 mph with some running life, will throw his fastball inside with intent to both left handed and right handed hitters. Slider is his pitch, has feel for locating the pitch and varying the depth and bite, has confidence in his slider and throws it often. Did not see a change up for more of a starter profile at the next level. Good student, verbal commitment to Indiana.
