Jacob Jennings is a 2016 3B/RHP with a 5-8 200 lb. frame from Morristown, TN who attends Morristown West HS. Short compact build, has good present strength. Right handed hitter, rotational swing from a crouched stance, gets the barrel out and gets his arms extended, shows pull side bat speed and some power on his pitch, will get long at times and can be pitched to but will hit mistakes hard. Has good flexibility for his build defensively at third base, gets down low and fields through the ball, stays balanced well and has good footwork, arm strength still developing but gets rid of the ball quickly and makes accurate throws. Also pitched, busy delivery that hides the ball well and has lots of deception, front side flies open early, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, gets good arm side run and is sneaky quick getting in on hitters. Gets good spin on his curveball with some biting action. Has good skills and uses his physical tools well.
