Luke Pizzico is a 2019 3B/RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Ringoes, NJ who attends Hunterdon Central. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Graded out highest as a pitcher in this look. Begins with a leg lift up to belt, clean arm action through the back leading to a high three-quarters release point. Uses length well to generate leverage and downhill plane, works ahead of hitters and shows short running life to arm side on fastball, topped out at 81 mph. Solid feel for breaking ball, tight spin with depth at 70 mph, served as put away pitch. Same loose arm action in the infield, deliberate actions, clean funnel, easy release and can throw from multiple arm slots. Righthanded hitter, straight stance in the box with a slight crouch, high hand set at the plate. Shifts weight well through lower half, keeps shoulders square and shows a sound swing path. Creates bat speed through the zone with a strength to the gap, line drive swing plane. Sound fundamentals that project. Very good student.
