Cameron Sheets is a 2018 LHP/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial HS. Projectable athletic build, young in the face but has some present strength with room for more. Short stride out front in his delivery, tends to spin off his front side, lots of cross body action from a 3/4's arm slot, lots going on in his delivery to create deception for the hitter, will need to develop better front side mechanics to create more leverage and better direction. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, gets very good cutting at times glove side, occasional arm side running action. Varies the shape of his curveball from a sweeping break to more of a 1/7 curveball action, curveball shape makes for the better and more consistent pitch. Solid change up that he could use more, has the pitches to sequence with better command. Should continue to improve with adjustments. Left handed hitter with a open stance and a big late stride in, long and aggressive swing with some ability to impact the ball on his pitch. Played both the outfield and first base defensively. Good student.
