AJ Passaro is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Bellaire Bluffs, FL who attends Clearwater Central Catholic High School. Medium frame with a compact build and present strength throughout. Posted a 7.69 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher, pitched with a deliberate delivery towards the plate with developing arm strength. Pitched to contact well with a fastball that worked 62-66 mph and paired it well with a curveball that showed 11/5 shape. Also worked out at first base, fielded the ball clean with a longer arm action across the diamond. At the plate, started slightly closed with a high hand set and a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Shifts weight well with a linear swing plane and inconsistent timing. Should improve with additional lower half incorporation. Exceptional student.
