Anthony Spor-Orellana is a 2017 RHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Shadow Ridge HS. Large frame with present strength throughout. Right handed pitcher, works exclusively from the stretch. Produces some arm speed through extension from a low three-quarters to side arm slot. Fastball has occasional arm side run when located down in the zone. Slider has some sweeping action with occasional tilt in the low 60's. Flashed a changeup with a consistent arm speed to fastball that showed occasional fading action. Consistenly in the zone with fastball offering early in counts. Developing command of the edges with off speed pitches. Large presence on the mound with a poised demeanor. Right handed hitter with a slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Loose, line drive swing plane. Mid-field approach with intent to reach the gaps. Flashed the ability to turn barrel and produce loud contact to the pull side gap. Good student.
