Henry Sloan is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from New Bern, NC who attends New Bern HS. Sloan has a long lanky frame with room to fill. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. Sloan has a slower paced delivery and he lands closed off. He throws his fastball to both sides of the plate and he gets some run on his fastball. He has developing arm speed with developing arm strength. Sloan throws an 11/5 curveball with developing shape and spin to it. He threw a lot of strikes in his outing and pitched to contact well. Defensively he showed some quickness to the ball in the outfield with solid transfers. Excellent student.
