Mason McCormack is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Tuscumbia, AL who attends Deshler HS. Solid frame with some height and a physical build overall. Ran a 7.93 60-yard dash. Primary pitcher throwing from a three-quarter arm slot with long arm action. Clean delivery and does a good job at creating separation. Repeats delivery well and gets good extension upon landing. Good command and located the fastball very well. Three pitch mix and showed good feel for all three pitches. The fastball sat from 85-88 mph with some occasional arm side run. The curveball showed some tilt, spin and the changeup had some good downward action. Showed solid actions in the infield with clean fielding ability. Smooth transfers with a full arm action on throws; quick release. Loose swing at the plate with power potential. Generates good extension through the point of contact. Has an element of explosiveness upon contact and leverages well to the pul side. Showed off power with a home run in batting practice. Swings with intent to drive the ball and the ball jumps off the barrel. Named to the 2016 Main Event Top Prospect List. Great student.
