Erik Coomer is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Oak Ridge HS. Has a young frame, lean build, and plenty of room to continue to fill out as he continues to put on additional muscle and mature physically. Posted a 7.54 second sixty yard dash. From the outfield, shows good footwork with a quick release into accurate throws with arm strength up to 82 mph. From behind the plate, also had good footwork and solid transfers, compact arm action on throws. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a narrow, upright stance with a small leg lift trigger. Has a short, compact swing with good weight shift to the baseball, natural pop and carry off the barrel especially when on swing plane. Good student.
