James Bell is a 2018 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis North HS. Strong prototypical catcher's build. 7.12 runner, has good arm strength behind plate, long and fluid actions, 1.95 best pop tiime. Right handed hitter, deep hand load with a pretty wide base, upper body swing, creates some bat speed with his strength and a good shift into contact, has some lift and pop on his pitch, repeats his swing well and makes solid contact. Good student, verbal commitment to Oregon.
