Andrew Wiegman is a 2019 SS/2B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Antioch, IL who attends Carmel Catholic HS. Large frame with an athletic build and present strength. Frame projects to support additional size and strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.63 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with smooth, athletic footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and works through exchange with fluidity. Flashed the ability to throw from multiple arm slots across the infield with accuracy, topped at 89 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and high back elbow set. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Stays balanced throughout his swing while utilizing a loose, uphill barrel plane. Swung with intent and generated good bat speed and strength at contact. Ball jumped off the barrel with authority to all fields. Good student. Named to the 2018 National Indoor Showcase, Top Prospect List.
