Rhett Watkins is a 2018 2B/OF with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Tricounty Academy. Young, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.79 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, moves well to the ball and shows range up the middle, short arm action on throws across, gets under throws at times, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Switch-hitter, showed stronger feel from the right side, starts with an open stance and medium hand set, aggressive swing with a short line drive plane to the ball, opens front side early at times. From the left side shows similar short path to the ball, gets the barrel to it and creates contact to all fields. Good student.
